Birds if Kerala

Every year they come in thousands and live in kerala for six months. These are migratory birds found in Kerala in large numbers. They arrive by around November and stays back till July. I captured this photo on the suburbs of kochi city (mulavukad). I am not very sure about how long they will be visiting us, due to to the wreck less depletion of their habitat in the name of development. A whole lot of the marshy area is destroyed by the construction of the container terminal road, and what is remaining will be be eaten up by the building mafia soon. Government and authorities are very inactive.
