Christmas 2013 @kerala.

Crib at St.Antony's church, kaloor, ernakulam

I took a stroll in the by lanes of our city where the poor live, and saw the real spirit of Christmas there. Here are some black and white photos on the Christmas Eve at kochi...

Another community star...

A handmade star. Especially in the rural side, the local clubs and associations make these giant handmade stars, which is an emerging social activity.

Homemade cribs have given way for ready made cribs...

The handmade christmas cards made at home with love and care is a very refreshing sight amidst egreetings

The midnight mass at infant Jesus church

We always prefer to go for the English midnight mass at the infant Jesus church, near the ernakulam high court. The choir, crib, carols and the mass all are exceptional. This year also if everything turns out  as planned, we will make it to the midnight mass here. Yesterday I went to the church for the Christmas service details;

11.15 pm Christmas carols
11.45 pm Holy mass

7a.m holy mass, Malayalam
8.30 am holy mass, English

 Here are a couple of photographs of the giant star hung at the church.
