Being at the same place for a long time is quite boring, and similar to the writer's block, I hit the photographer's block ending up capturing stereotypes. A small break from the familiar territory helps me to add variety to my photographs. It induces a kind of freshness into the otherwise familiar territory.  A break from the familiar zone helps me to appreciate the beauty of the familiar...
