Pearlspot alias karimeen

Karimeen pollichathu is one of the local delicacies. Karimeen stuffed with masala wrapped in plantain leaves and steamed. A must try when in Kerala. Then we have karimeen varuthathu (fry) and karimeen palu pizhinjathu, another delicacy with gravy comprising of coconut milk as the key ingredient. Since karimeen is in demand very often the restaurants do not use the local fresh one which tastes better. We are fortunate to get the fresh local ones in our local varapuzha market.
