148 # Learn from the lotus

Look at the lotus plant. It's roots are in mud, the leaves are at water level and they absorb the sunlight to produce beautiful lotus flowers, delighting others. Some human beings are also like lotus plants. Even when they are in a filthy environment, they always do very positive things which are delightful to others. For them, the sunlight is the divine grace. Like the lotus flower and the leaves open themselves to the sunlight, these positive people open themselves to God, looking upwards for the energy to serve the mankind. 

Lotus flowers are common in Kerala, and can be seen in the rural Kerala.
