234 # Visit snehatheeram (love shore) beach, a beautiful, long unpolluted beach closer to Trichur, an ideal location to experience and enjoy the solitude of an uncowded virgin beach...
If you are a photographer, then you are a traveler also. So, when I travel, I always carry one of my cameras with me, which includes the mobile camera. This time, we were traveling to Trichur inorder to attend a family function, and there was absolutely no need to carry my camera, but still I did decide to carry my DSLR this time. I do not regret that decision. On our way back, Jessy mentioned about the Snehatheeram beach, which is on our way back (had to take a seven Km deviation from the main road connecting Thrissur to Kodungallur via Thripayar). And it was nearing the magical hours of the photographer (5.p.m to 6.30 p.m), when the sun sets and there is enough soft and radiated light, which can make the objects really dramatic. Somatheeram is a neat, unpollutted, non commercialized beach, closer to the fisher men village. It is a very long beach, with very less tourists, and is ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy an unpolluted virgin beach. Even though there are some crowded zones, we can always walk away from the crowds, because the beach is very long. They have a small restaurant at the beach which serves sea food, and there are a few resorts in the area. If you want to take time off from the busy schedule, and enjoy a slow day, this is the place. It is advisable to carry your own food, water, clothes, beach chairs and umbrellas (if you are going there during the day). There is nothing to see there except the fishing canoes, nets and the fishermen, and that makes it a wonderful place to experience. So, go there to experience it than seeing it, and you will be happy about that decision.
Here are some photos I clicked at the beach...
