Vacation

It is vacation time  at Kerala. Schools will re open on June 1st. Generally it coincides with the arrival of monsoons. Children wearing school uniforms going to school holding colourful umbrellas is a spectacular sight to watch. For the first timers it can be an emotional turbulent time as well. For a photographer seeking the emotions of a new school year, this is the right time. I was after a woodpecker to photograph it. Unfortunately I could get a good pose from it, and the chase in turn led me to this kid playing in the next compound, all alone, wearing mother's high heels.
